CALIFORNIA: San Francisco AIDS Foundation HIVision Forum

On Wednesday, April 29, the San Francisco AIDS Foundation will present a forum exploring the topic "Is HIV Treatment HIV Prevention?" Panelists will discuss recent studies detailing the role antiretrovirals can play in curbing the spread of HIV. The moderator will be Judith Auerbach, PhD, SFAF's vice president for science and public policy. The panel of experts will include Dr. Carol Brosgart, Gilead Sciences' vice president for public health and policy; Dr. Moupali Das- Douglas, research director at the city health department and an assistant clinical professor of AIDS and infectious diseases at the University of California-San Francisco; Dr. Robert Grant, endowed investigator at the Gladstone Institute of Virology and Immunology and an associate professor at UCSF; and Project Inform Executive Director Dana Van Gorder. The forum will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Women's Building, 3543 18th St. To RSVP, e-mail HIVision@sfaf.org.
