The York City Bureau of Health will hold a free human
papillomavirus vaccination clinic on Jan. 27. The vaccine
against HPV, the STD that causes most cases of cervical cancer
as well as genital warts, will be administered to male and
female city residents ages 11 to 26. Persons under age 18 must
be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Three injections
within six months are required for full protection; patients
can schedule the subsequent free shots during regular clinic
hours. The initial shots will be given from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
and from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the Albert S. Weyer Health Center,
435 W. Philadelphia St., York. For more information or to make
