SOUTH CAROLINA: Rally Asking S.C. Legislators for AIDS Funding

Today in Columbia, AIDS activists will call on state lawmakers to take action to end a waiting list for the AIDS Drug Assistance Program. The South Carolina HIV/AIDS Care Crisis Task Force will hold a rally at the Statehouse, asking legislators to commit more state dollars to funding the program for low-income HIV/AIDS patients. As of Feb. 3, 386 patients were on the waiting list for the state's ADAP, according to the National Alliance of State & Territorial AIDS Directors.
