Dental problems among HIV-Thai persons.

To determine the dental problems among HIV-Thais inorder to have the data bases in performing and providing the proper personel and treatments. M&M: The dental problems of 200 confirmed-HIV seropositive persons were determined and recorded. RESULTS: The problems were dental caries/broken filling 67 cases (33.5%) gingival diseases 110 cases (55%), extraction 48 cases (24%) and prostheses 52 cases (26%). Other oral problems were candidiasis, aphthous ulcer, herpes, coated tongue, hairy leukoplakia, E.M., tonsilitis and xerostomia. Such information should be significant steps to prepare the finance and dental personel.
