[Clinico-histopathologic correlations in cytomegalovirus retinitis in the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome]

Cesk Oftalmol. 1994 Oct;50(5):310-5. Unique Identifier : AIDSLINE

The authors describe histological changes of the retina and chorioid in cytomegalovirus retinitis in a patient with manifest AIDS who died after a severe opportunic infection. Consistent with data in the literature, they describe in addition to necrotic changes also inflammatory manifestations in the retina and chorioid and the presence of intranuclear inclusions typical for CMV infection.
