Patients need to understand the results of their laboratory tests to help manage their own treatment, and it is often difficult to interpret the various numbers. The Center for AIDS Treatment has established a hotline for patients who need assistance with the test results and has provided a list of the most common tests, including the normal ranges for each of them. They caution that normal ranges vary widely for each test.
