On Halloween, 1991, Hoffmann-LaRoche announced the completion of the New Drug Application filing process for ddC (trade name HIVID). The company is seeking approval for the treatment af HIV-infected persons who have failed or are intolerant to AZT. Additionally, the company is seeking approval of ddC as a first line therapy for HIV in combination with AZT.
