NEW YORK: David Bromstad Unveils Mural for HIV Testing Initiative

The Advocate (09.24.11) - Tuesday, September 27, 2011

Tuesday, Sept. 27, is designated as National Gay Men's HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, and in recognition, artist David Bromstad has unveiled a mural he created to promote HIV testing. "I want people to be encouraged and know that getting tested is just something they need to do to maintain their health," said Bromstad, who hosts HGTV's "Color Splash." "It's like brushing your teeth - not doing it shouldn't be an option." The "Know Yourself: Get HIV Tested" event, held last Tuesday, was sponsored by Janssen Therapeutics.
