Planned Parenthood said it will consolidate three of its Ohio
affiliates this summer, according to Plain Dealer newspaper of
Cleveland. The Northeast Ohio and Central Ohio affiliates
along with the Affiliates of Ohio are merging to form Planned
Parenthood of Greater Ohio, serving 68 of the state's 88
counties. Officials said the merger will not impact services
such as STD and pregnancy testing, and Pap and breast exams.
All 13 Northeast Ohio health centers will remain open. A
spokesperson from the Southwest Ohio Region in Cincinnati said
no plans are underway to join the merger.
