ILLINOIS: Video Tells Illinois Prisoners About HIV Services

Associated Press (02.04.12) - Friday, February 24, 2012

"Outside the Walls: Life Beyond HIV" is a new educational video on re-entry services for ex-offenders living with HIV/AIDS. The Department of Corrections will use the AIDS Foundation of Chicago-supported video also to encourage prisoners to take advantage of HIV testing available in prisons. Tawon Dale of AFC's Community Advisory Board appears in the video, discussing how he worked with a case manager when leaving prison to find housing, medication, and job training. The nonprofit Men & Women in Prison Ministries is distributing the video in Chicago.
