NEW YORK: NYC Launches App to Teach Teens About Sexual Health

4 New York WNBC (03.30.13)

Mayor Bloomberg’s administration has launched a new free app that provides New York City teens with information and resources for sexual health-related questions. The “Teens in NYC Protection +” app is intended to assist with the prevention of teen pregnancies by providing extensive information on contraception. The app also provides information on STDs and other sex-related topics and includes educational videos and clinic locations. The app was created and operates under a New York State law that guarantees teens the right to access sexual health services without permission from parents or guardians.
