ALABAMA: Second TB Case Confirmed at Montgomery High School

Decatur Daily (08.16.2013)

The Alabama Department of Public Health confirmed a second TB case of a student at Montgomery's Robert E. Lee High School. The parents of additional students who may have been exposed received letters telling them their student needed to be tested this week, which is the first week of school. Testing will take place at the Montgomery County Health Department, and students will receive an excused absence to take the test. Health officials said the second student who tested positive had been in close contact with the first student who received a confirmed diagnosis this past June.
