wusa9 (Washington DC) (10.20.2013) Aids Weekly Plus

Two Maryland movie theaters will promote harm reduction behavior by airing safe sex public service announcements (PSAs) for 14 weeks. Prince George’s County, the location of the theaters that will show the PSAs, has the second highest HIV and STD rates in the state, according to county health officials. The ads will feature HBO series “The Wire” actor Tray Chaney, who is from the county and is scheduled to appear at the Marlow 6 Theater in Temple Hills on November 16. The other theater to air the PSAs is located at the Greenbelt Mall.
