PHILIPPINES: QC to Open Special Male Hygiene Clinic

Journal Online (Manila, Philippines) (12.15.2013)

A recent Journal Online article reported that Quezon City, Philippines, Mayor Herbert Bautista announced the planned expansion of the city’s first government-managed male special hygiene clinic, “Klinika Bernardo,” to the city of Novaliches. The mayor announced the move during the recent launch of the US Agency for International Development-sponsored Service Delivery Network for People Living with HIV at the Sulo Hotel in Quezon City. Intended to reach more individuals at risk of contracting sexually transmitted infections, Bautista said “this is a fitting testament that the city government is concerned with addressing the needs of people living with HIV.”
