Killeen Daily Herald (02.09.2014)
The Killeen Daily Herald reported that since Texas restored funding for women’s health programs, the Bell County Public Health District can see more women for STD testing and treatment, birth control refills, and pregnancy testing. According to Nina Cobb, the district’s outreach education coordinator, hours for clinics in Temple and Killeen remain the same, but they now can accommodate additional clients. During the month of February, the walk-in clinics in Temple and Killeen are offering free testing for HIV, syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 509 South Ninth Street in Temple; and 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 309 North Second Street in Killeen.
