CDC HIV/AIDS/Viral Hepatitis/STD/TB Prevention News Update ILLINOIS: Illinois to Share $117 Million in HUD Grant Money

Associated Press (05.02.12) - Wednesday, May 02, 2012 Communities across the state will share almost $117 million in funding through programs administered by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The money will support efforts that focus on housing for low- and moderate-income residents, as well as emergency shelters. Most of the funds will go to programs in Chicago, according to a release from the office of Sen. Dick Durbin, including one offering housing assistance to people with HIV/AIDS and their families.
