NEW YORK: County Health Department Recognizes Oneida Healthcare for Newborn Vaccinations

On June 18, Madison County Health Department honored Oneida Healthcare Center for its success in saving lives as part of the statewide effort to administer the hepatitis B vaccine to all newborns within 12 hours of birth. The County Health Department Director of Preventative Health Services, Cheryl Geiler, PHN, presented Cheryl Tibbitts, Oneida Healthcare Center’s maternity nurse manager, with a Certificate of Excellence for ensuring 100 percent of newborns were vaccinated against hepatitis B.
