AIDS Trials to Include More Minorities

In an estimated $3.6 million expansion, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) will augment its AIDS Clinical Trials Groups to include a greater portion of minority populations. The groups will branch out to trial units at Howard University in Washington, D.C., the University of Hawaii in Manoa, the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan, and Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn., all institutions primarily serving minorities.
