Seminar on Anti-TB Drugs Opens in Nepal

A seminar on the production, marketing, distribution, and quality control of anti-tuberculosis drugs opened in South Africa on Tuesday. Nepali Health Secretary Sriram Poudel launched the four-day event by noting that the regular supply of good quality anti-TB drugs is important for the success of national TB control programs. Dirgha Singh Bam, director of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation's Tuberculosis Center, added that short course chemotherapy is proving to be a highly effective treatment for TB.
