Atlanta Journal-Constitution (02.02.10) - Friday, February
The struggle against STDs is the subject of a new exhibit at
CDC's Global Health Odyssey Museum in Atlanta. "VD: Values,
Rights, Public Health" details government efforts to tackle
diseases including syphilis, which once infected one in 10
Americans, as well as the more recent battle against HIV/AIDS.
There is no charge to visit the museum, which is open Mondays,
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and
Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. A government-issued photo ID
along with a vehicle search are required for admission. The
museum is located in CDC's Tom Harkin Global Communications
Center, 1600 Clifton Rd. For more information, telephone 404-
639-0830 or visit www.cdc.gov/gcc/exhibit.
