March 1, 2010 (Albany) (02.26.10) - Monday, March 01, 2010

More than 70 Albany-area teachers, administrators, and clergy members gathered at Isabella School on Friday to learn about protecting youths from HIV/AIDS. "It's very important for adults to hear the message," said Chanel Scott-Dixon of the Georgia Department of Public Health. "Because they have that first-hand experience contact with the students. And if they have the proper information to go back and educate the students, maybe they'll get through to the students to practice safer sex or to abstain from having sex." The Georgia Department of Education partnered with the Dougherty County School System for the event.
