This paper describes a case of Pneumocystis carinii (PC) presenting as a common bile duct intraluminal mass in an HIV-infected 30-yr-old homosexual man. In fine-needle aspiration smears, exuberant vascular proliferation associated with multinucleated giant-cell reactions was found within the granular exudate of PC. Copyright 2000 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
