Rhode Island is receiving more than $1 million from the US
Department of Health and Human Services to expand programs to
fight HIV/AIDS. Of the total, $600,000 will go to the state
Department of Health to support enhanced testing and
prevention; Miriam Hospital in Providence will receive more
than $400,000 for testing, prevention, and treatment. Sen.
Jack Reed (D-R.I.) announced the grant Tuesday.
