MASSACHUSETTS; NEW YORK: AIDS Walk Boston Donation Depends on Super Bowl Outcome

February 2, 2012
Bay Windows (Boston) (02.01.12) - Thursday, February 02, 2012

The annual AIDS Walk in either Boston or New York will score a $1,000 donation based on the winner of Sunday's Super Bowl. Backed by their respective boards of directors, AIDS Action Committee President and CEO Rebecca Haag of Boston and GMHC CEO Marjorie Hill of New York made the wager. If the New England Patriots win, Boston's walk gets the money; if the Giants dominate, New York's walk picks up the cash. "But regardless of the game's outcome, services for people with HIV and AIDS will win out with a donation to this critical work," Haag said.
