The Midsouth Summit Black Expo scheduled for Feb. 25 will
offer a variety of free health screenings and services,
including free human papillomavirus vaccinations for boys and
girls ages 11-18. Parents requesting the vaccine - part of a
three-shot series that protects against cervical cancer in
females and other types of cancer in males and females - are
asked to bring their child's vaccination record to the event.
Hosted by the Cancer Control Program at the University of
Arkansas for Medical Sciences, the expo will run from 10 a.m.
to 3 p.m. at the Clear Channel Metroplex Event Center, 10800
Colonel Glenn Rd., Little Rock; admission is free. For more
