CALIFORNIA: Health Officials Eye Design Ideas for Condom Wrapper

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health is holding a contest to the pick a design for the wrapper of the free condoms it distributes. "Evidence has shown that using condoms is one way to prevent getting HIV or STDs," said Mario Perez, director of the department's HIV and STD programs. "We want to normalize the use of condoms, make them ubiquitous and easily accessible." The contest is open to county residents age 18 and older. The designs must not be vulgar or infringe upon trademarks, including those of sports teams and local landmarks.
