Auction items will include works by notable artists such as Picasso, Warhol, Schnabel, Haring, and Ruscha. This premier, red carpet event benefits AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) and is presented by international auctioneers Bonhams and Hamilton-Selway Fine Art Gallery.The event's featured artist is Michael Becker.
With an estimated 60,000 people currently living with HIV/AIDS in Los Angeles, APLA's direct care and prevention programs are more important than ever before. The funds raised from ART PROJECT LOS ANGELES will help APLA provide low-income Angelenos who are living with HIV/AIDS with food, dental care, mental health services, and so much more. Funds raised will also support APLA's crucial HIV prevention, testing, and advocacy work, which seek to end new infections among those at highest risk and to defend government funding that those who are HIV-positive depend on to remain healthy.
