During the last seven years, the Sudbury, Ontario restaurant Respect is Burning has donated approximately $15,000 to the Réseau Access Network during their “A Taste For Life” campaign. The funds raised help the network stock food bank shelves and provide food vouchers for over 100 local individuals affected by AIDS. Respect is Burning is one of 13 local restaurants participating by donating 25 percent of their evening sales on April 24 to the Réseau Access Network. Overall, twenty other Canadian cities will also participate, each assisting their local communities. Supperclub co-owner Rob Gregorini commented that it’s his belief that “giving is a community and universal requirement— both on a personal level and a business level…This is where good community answers a call – and we’re more than proud to be playing a big part in answering or helping to answer the needs of our community.” For more information, visit www.atasteforlife.org.
