CANADA: B.C. HPV Vaccine Program Expanded to Women 26 and Under

Canada's British Columbia (B.C.) Centre for Disease Control has recently expanded its human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine program to allow women up to 26 years of age to receive the vaccination at no charge. Previously, the province’s catch-up program had covered women 19–21 years of age who were too old to receive the vaccine in high schools. The Cervarix vaccine, which is given in three shots, is available from pharmacists, doctors, sexual health and youth clinics, student health services, and public health units.
