An article in the Campbell River Mirror reported that a Blood Blitz Testing Day hosted by AIDS Vancouver Island in Campbell River, British Columbia, and Island Health will offer HIV tests, flu shots, and sexually transmitted infection tests. The event, which will be open to all, will occur on November 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Campbell River offices of AIDS Vancouver Island, 1371 Unit C, Cedar Street, Campbell River, British Columbia. Planned as part of AIDS Awareness Week, the event will offer the rapid HIV test with results in fewer than 60 seconds. According to Leanne Cunningham, key event organizer and support worker at AIDS Vancouver Island, offering the 60-second test will allow them to offer the test and support all in one visit.
