Scott Ross Dies at 38; Played Scarlatti Works

Scott Ross, a harpsichordist who recorded the complete keyboard works of Scarlatti on compact disc, died of AIDS Tuesday at his home in Assas, France. The 38-year-old musician, who was born in Pittsburgh but moved to France when he was 12 years old, won the Bruges International Competition in Belgium in 1971. Between 1979 and 1985, Ross recorded 555 Scarlatti sonatas. Related Story: WP (06/15) P. B11
