Question:

Yesterday, I had a gentleman come over that I met on an internet site. We have been talking for months and I figured we could meet for some oral sex. He came in and we started doing our thing. We each gave each other oral. I should mention that this is really my second encounter with a man; my first was with my good friend and I have never had anal. Then he started to make me gag on him. We didn't do this for long and there wasnt any ejaculate exchanged in either mouth. I dont know if there was pre-cum. He wasnt very horny due to him orgasming earlier in the day.

After, I remembered that I had my wisdom teeth out July 12, the sockets had healed I still have a piece of bone poking through my gums. He told me that he was clean and had been tested for HIV two weeks ago and was negative. He does receive oral quite frequently I found out and he only gives it occasionally. (5 times in the last month and ½ ) He rarely does anal and hasnt bottomed in 20 years. I am freaking out that I may have gotten HIV. He reassured me that I was going to be ok and even referred me to a guy at our HIV testing center to talk to.

I just want to hear a second opinion.

What is the likelihood that I got HIV? Should I get tested?

This is very, very low risk situation for having acquired HIV. Nevertheless, if you are anxious enough, remember that a negative test will help put your fears to rest in a very definitive way. The decision to test or not is yours, but if you can get to a place without it where you are okay moving on without a test, I think most people would agree with you that that is quite appropriate.
