My finance is taking Sustiva with other drugs, and I asked if he has AIDS. He strongly denies having AIDS, and just says he has a rare form of leukemia and COPD. I am skeptical of this and don't want to have unprotected sex with him. Can you tell me if this drug is used for anything other than HIV?
I am not aware of any indication or off-label use of Sustiva other than for the treatment of HIV infection.
If you are certain the pills he is taking are Sustiva, it is highly likely that he has HIV infection.
