- Two weeks ago my girlfriend was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with fungal meningitis. Additional blood work indicates that she has progressed to full blown AIDS with a CD4 count of 200. I too am HIV + with a 280 CD4 Count and VL undetectable. Am I at risk of contracting this disease from her?

- My NP has said: "May Stop Azithromycin 2-600 mg tablets once/week as preventative for MAC". I am apprehensive about whether or not to stop the medication as it seems to be my call. What would you recommend?

- Back in 1986 I donated blood at the Red Cross and discovered that I had been exposed to Hepatitis B. Since then I have seen many doctors who say that I have the antibody and the virus has cleared my system. Does this mean I am co-infected with Hepatitis B?

- I have had 2 Vitrasert implants placed in each eye in 1998. When my CD4 count rose >200 , and having no recurrent CMV infection, the implants were left in place. In September 2001, one of the implants in my left eye dislocated and had to be removed.
