OBJECTIVES: Evaluation with a psychoanalytical approach of La Mutualite's program of prevention in colleges in La Bourgogne, FRANCE called "La Formation par les Pairs". Evaluation of the role of young people trained as intermediaries among their peers for finding adequate resources to sexual problems.

METHODS: Psycho-social research. In-depth interviews with students, professors and parents.

RESULTS: November 94. The ongoing analysis will offer an opportunity for presenting questions raised by the new informations gathered and the research process itself.

DISCUSSION: SIDA and the resurgence of ethic. Construction of Self in relation to sex and death. Its impact on Self development and personal relationships with others and otherness in a period of construction of personal identity. The role of peers, adults, institution. Issues concerning prevention programs.
