OBJECTIVES: To determine if the relationship exists between people who live in suburbs and consume illegal drugs with the condom's use.Material And

METHODS: We made a voluntary, anonymous, aleatory, multiple choices survey to people attends in primary public health services at Rosario's suburbs/Argentina.

RESULTS: Answered 188 persons, 26 (13.8%) related consumed ilegal drugs, sucked or injected. Relationship for sex was women 11 (42.3%) and men 15 (57.7%). Concerning the amount of last year partners: one (53.8%), 2 or 3 (38.5%) and 4 or more (7.6%). About the condom's use only one (3.8%) answered always, never 57.7% and sometimes 38.5%; in addition, 96.2% regularly don't use condoms.

CONCLUSIONS: We recognized that addicts to illegal drugs are a risk group to HIV infection and furthermore if plus the multiples sexual partners and the low use of condoms. We believe that whom directed of AIDS's programs must be more attention for enlargement efforts to this special population.
