This project is a non-formal education alternative that is intended to give HIV/AIDS basic information to young people and adolescents (12-24) men and women and to mention preventative measures. It recovers information regarding risk practices and the manners in which the disease is perceived. This project is an exposition in a closed place in which people are sensitized and informed but in an interactive way: a guide, a young person men or women, questions and informs them regarding this topic. Different materials, images and objects used in it represent a meaning of their culture with topics such as death, erothic sexual practices, life, love, young people and more, integrating in this way as many senses as posibble. In six months approximately 2,000 people were attended, people from different sexual orientations and from differents areas of the city. The people were so interested that they were the ones who spread the word regarding the exposition. The experience gained is that we met different risk practices among young people and different perceptions of the disease as well as the perception of people living with HIV/AIDS. Information by itself will not change the attitudes towards the disease but if we try to know and to understand what people perceive we can create more actions and better prevention campaigns.
