Context: ESPOIR VIE -TOGO is an association of people living with the HIV/AIDS and of the committed persons in thier supports of whom 90% are HIV carriers . A group of volunteers in number of 07 ensure the counseling at the head office of the thier HIV seropositivity to better the psychological.

METHODOLOGY: - Ensure permenancy at the head office of the association. - Receive the referred patients of doctors from hospitals and other healing centers. - Participate in the post-test and the pre-test. - Make the life-time declaration of our HIV seropositivity to raise the spirits of the tested positive persons. - Register all the patients in the counseling book . - Plan the hospital and home visits with pre- established cards. - Explain them the importance to adhere to a PLWhiv association for sharing experiences and continue live a positive and active life in order to integrate into the society.

RESULTS: - From january to december 2001,we registered 273 positive post-tests of whom 157 women and 116 men. - 80 persons have adhered to the association to benefit from the psychosocial help. - 15 persons were trained for activities of prevention at the beach, in the young athletic milieu, in the high schools and colleges with declaration . - These 80 persons regularly followed by our doctors. - 63 beneficiaries are also followed by our doctors . - 1025 home and hospital visits were made by four of the seven volunteers of the association.

CONCLUSION: - The HIV /AIDS positive test announce is better accepted when it is ensure by the PLWS.The PLWS's declaration is very important element in the psycho-social undertaking of the new PLWhiv .This enable the agreement of his serological status and how to live positively with HIV /AIDS.
