BACKGROUND: Increase the rate of condom utilization by the national armed forces of Cote d'Ivoire .

METHODS: train the armed forces to communication and counselling technics, and condom social marketing,

RESULTS: in november 2000, 30 % of armed forces elements assert that they have used at least one condom during their life that year . This proportion will be moved up 75 % in 2001 . And few months later, that increased to 956 % . So significant result .

CONCLUSION: Since that time, the national armed forces of CI took a hard decision to get involved in the sensibilization of elements on the calamities which is very positive . The elargement of a such programm to an other place where there is a great community of soldiers will contribute to limit the propagation of HIV / AIDS in the lap of population .
