ISSUES: The promotion and protection of human rights in the context of the AIDS assures the decrease from the vulnerability to the AIDS, and reducing stigmatization and discrimination, at level of the whole society. The analysis in the context of CUBA are written in this work as first evaluation stage for the implementation of the Regional Project.
DESCRIPTION: When carrying out a rising of the factors that impact in the community of infected people and affected in the topic of Human Rights (HR) and AIDS and level of knowledge that exist on the topic, the study of the existent legal rights in the country for PLWAs and of the whole society; also the study of the National Program of AIDS and main contributions and opposing deficiencies regarding HR; as well as the function of the State as main guarantor of the protection of the HR of PLWAs through the social programs in the country.
ISSUES: A better understanding of the current situation of the HR in CUBA. Evaluation and understanding of the guarantees that offers the System Social Cuban for the protection of the HR and AIDS. Obtaining of the references "Legality and AIDS". Promotion and exchange with the main leaders of PLWAs and executives inside the Ministry of Health on the topic. Necessity of the implementation of the project Legality and AIDS inside PLWAs Program favored by the National Center of Prevention. Sensitization of the executives inside the Ministry of Health. Hostility of the imperialistic Blockade and the situation in HR.
RECOMMENDATIONS: To continue the sensitization for the approval, financing and commitment inside the National Program of AIDS for the implementation of the Project. To look for the best strategies and positive experiences of other countries in the implementation of projects in HR. Search of resources for the edition of the references "Legality and AIDS".
