ISSUE: Men Who Have Sex with Men (MSM) continue to be highest risk for HIV infection.

KEY POINTS: This presentation will focus on the benefits of offering rapid HIV testing at an alternative HIV/STD testing site outreaching to high risk gay men. The presenter will discuss acceptance and disclosure rates, advantages of transitioning newly diagnosed individuals into treatment and care, and the issues involved in the immediate notification of sero-status for clients and counselors.

IMPLICATIONS: This presentation will provide participants with examples of the challenges they may encounter when attempting to offer rapid HIV testing outside of a clinic environment as well as offering HIV in the combination of STD testing.
