How Are Medications Distributed? ADAP medications are dispensed through The Apothecary Shops. The headquarters of The Apothecary Shops is in Tucson. Medication is shipped directly to ADAP-eligible clients' homes. There is also the option to pick up medications at any of The Apothecary Shops' ten locations through Phoenix and Tucson. Other ADAP Information Do You Have To Wait For An AHCCCS Denial Letter Before Submitting An ADAP Application? No. We will provide up to 30 days of medication to an ADAP-eligible client as long as you have an appointment scheduled with AHCCCS eligibility. However, we cannot provide further medication without your denial form or letter. What If I Have Medicare? If you are eligible for Medicare, you must provide a copy of the current determination letter from the Social Security Administration (SSA) Medicare Prescription Drug Assistance Program that shows you are not eligible or only partially eligible for assistance. You must also provide a copy of your Medicare Rx card (Part D). | Arizona Resources State Resources - Arizona specific contact information for different programs through which you can access a variety of services. Includes links to other resources.
Waiting List? - Sometimes a state has a waiting list people have to stay on until spaces become available. Check to see if there is a waiting list for the program by contacting them directly. According to NASTAD's most recent ADAP Watch Arizona does not have a waiting list. You may need to try a Patient Assistance Program or apply for Medicaid or Medicare or private insurance. Do not ever drop your private insurance without first seeing if your state will cover part or the whole premium, especially if you have children. Access Resources
State, Federal and Other Access ResourcesThere are several ways to get care and treatments covered for Hepatitis, HIV and other diseases. Some programs are HIV specific. Others are Hepatitis specific. Most but not all are based on your income, if you are pregnant or have dependent children, your age, and sometimes other factors. Each state has a different array of programs with different requirements.
