The rampant spread of HIV/AIDS is causing suffering throughout Namibia. Despite the difficult circumstances, people living with HIV are rising above the stigma and discrimination that they experience in our society. The videos presented here relay some of their stories as documented by 15 young Namibian filmmakers. The aim of the project was to create stories that would help break down the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS while taking young filmmakers through the process of integrating high production values with sensitive storytelling.
HIV drug resistance continues to present challenges for patients and their healthcare providers. Resistance testing can help guide the selection of anti-HIV drugs to ensure patients receive effective treatments that keep HIV levels in the blood as low as possible. Composed of dozens of diverse organizations, the Caucus for Evidence-Based Prevention monitors the use of evidence in HIV prevention programs and policies, reports on HIV prevention related conference proceedings to a wide audience, and alerts the community when ideology prejudice or opinion interfere with evidence-based approaches to reducing the further spread of HIV/AIDS.
Guidelines on first aid and HIV/AIDS is an International Federation produced booklet and CD-Rom which focuses on concerns about transmission in first aid situations, and provides preventive measures and hygienic practices to prevent infection.

Topics include: addressing the unique issues of women living with HIV, the role of faith-based organizations and getting the support you need. The goal of the women’s summit is to help empower women living with HIV in order for them to play an active role in their care and treatment.
