Marseille, 2. Juni (AFP) - In Frankreich muss ein Mann zwei Jahre ins Gefängnis, weil er seine Freundin mit der Immunschwächekrankheit Aids angesteckt hat. Das Strafgericht von Marseille befand den 41-Jährigen für schuldig, Ende der 90er Jahre die Ansteckung seiner Partnerin beim Geschlechtsverkehr billigend in Kauf genommen zu haben. Diese wusste nichts von der Krankheit ihres drogensüchtigen Freundes, bis durch eine Untersuchung im Juni 1999 bei ihr das HI-Virus entdeckt wurde.
Der Anwalt des Verurteilten hatte in dem Prozess geltend gemacht, dass der Mann seine Erkrankung nie akzeptiert und Behandlungen immer wieder abgebrochen habe. Anfangs benutzte er ein Präservativ, lehnte dies dann aber ab. Anders als von der Klägerin beantragt, sah das Gericht in dem Verhalten des Mannes keinen Tötungsversuch. Verurteilt wurde er wegen der Übertragung schädlicher Substanzen. Ein weiteres Jahr Haft wurde zur Bewährung ausgesetzt.
